Many of the sites that pay contributors only accept US residents as writers. Suite101 (based in Vancouver) is open to anyone. Demand Studios recently welcomed UK and Canadian writers. So, if you don't have the Stars and Stripes flying at your local post office, check a site first before you begin the sometimes laborious process of applying. Cheers!
