There will be times when you’ll need to upload files to your website’s database, for instance, if you purchase a theme that isn’t included in the WordPress dashboard’s theme installer. This upload process is done via File Transfer Protocol (FTP). There are many good FTP clients, but I prefer FileZilla. It is easy to use. It works on all major platforms (Mac, Linux, and Windows), and it’s open source (i.e. FREE!). Today’s video tutorial shows how to upload a file using FileZilla.

Honestly, I haven’t watched the video yet, but I’m going to. I just had to say that I did some thing with files and FTP and Filezilla back when I had no idea what I was doing (to be honest, I’m still trying to figure it out, it’s coming, but still figuring it out). I don’t know what I did, or what it was for, LOL. I’m so glad you’re going to tell me! LOL!
FileZilla’s great. I use it all the time. I especially like that it will remember your connection details for you. This is handy for someone (like me) who has to manage a large number of servers.
