Free eBook — an Early Christmas Present

I’ve decided to take the day off from blogging this Friday, it being Christmas day and all. Since I don’t have a guest scheduled for today, I decided to give you your Freebie Friday gift a couple of days early. I’m wondering if I should have titled this post “Do Not Open Until Christmas.”

Since today is technically “Wednesday is Friends Day,” and we normally highlight someone who uses his or her blog for the betterment of the blogosphere, I need to let you know that I’m not the actual giver of this gift — it’s from Seth Godin, and if anyone has a unique blog, he does. Seth is the founder of Squidoo and writer of the most popular marketing blog on the planet.

His free eBook is titled, What Matters Now, and it is a collection from more than 70 big thinkers of things to think about during the coming year. Seth’s goal in coordinating and presenting this eBook is that it be spread across the web to at least 5 million people in hopes of getting people to think, and, more importantly, to act on their thoughts in a way that will make a difference. Here’s a link to a Squidoo lens that tells more about this book and the collection of contributors.

Seriously, this is free — free for you to give, distribute as you will. It would be polite, though, to give Seth credit for creating the project. Download What Matters Now now.

Wow, I’ve just “leafed” through it and already I know there’s lots of great stuff to learn and use in here for 2010. Thanks so much! I’ll put it right on my desktop and read some of it everyday!

I’m glad you like it, Robin! I, too, was impressed with the quality and variety of things to think about. It’s a pretty amazing lineup of contributors, too. Enjoy!
