On Blogging Well has been up and running for a couple of months now, and I’d really appreciate it if you would take a few minutes to answer a few survey questions that will help make this blog more useful. I know, I know, I hate it when my day is interrupted by phone calls from surveyors, but your responses will be very helpful not only for this blog, but for a project several readers have requested from me.
I’m seriously considering writing an online blogging course. There are many out there but some are high tech, some are very expensive, some barely cover the basics. I have some ideas of what I think should be included, but I really want to know what YOU think should be included. The survey only has a few questions, so I hope you’ll take the time to respond. And it’s anonymous so let me know what you really think!

Linda,
I could not fill in this particular form yet, since I am new to your site and not even totally familiar with your different days, etc. However, I did want to say that I am subscribing, and I am impressed by your organization of information. So far, at least to me, this is more than another blog about blogging. Keep up the good work! I do have a question about guest blogging though. Do I just email bloggers in my same niche and introduce myself and ask them if I can guest post? Or do I submit an article and see if they would like to use it as a guest post? Also, about getting my blog on other blogrolls, do I just email and ask? I would love some help in these areas. Thanks in advance.
Hi Wendy,
Thanks for your encouraging comments! I’m glad you like On Blogging Well and look forward to getting to know you better through our growing community!
About guest blogging — yes, you can simply contact bloggers in your niche and ask them about their submission guidelines for guest posts. The same goes for blogroll link exchanges.
In the past, blogrolls were a great way to get inbound links to help increase your ranks on search engines. Today, those links aren’t weighted as well, so if you’re hoping to use blogrolls for SEO purposes, it won’t help much. However, blogroll links are a great tool to help interact and build relationships with bloggers and readers in your niche, and in the long run, those relationships will create buzz about your blog, which will in turn boost your page rankings. — Linda
Hi Linda:
Of course I discovered your blog too late to take part in the survey but I’ve been following since the day I discovered it and will continue to do so. I find it very informative and am actually using it to help me be a better blogger. Your suggestions and insights are fabulous. I’m in for the long haul.
