The next segment of our series on Market Research will deal with analyzing your competition. This is a process I plan to do using some instructional videos, and it will likely take 2-3 posts. However, sinus allergies have left me literally without a voice the past several days, so this series will be put on hold for at least another day or two.

Imagine the ideal customer in your market. Make a list of characteristics of this person. Yes, person. Think of your market in terms of one person. Imagine his or her face, give them a name.
